The Inspection Port is fitted to the outside of the SeaShield 2000FD jacket.
A threaded cover is removed to expose the Petrolatum Layer of the 2000FD system. The internal area of the port is filled with a Petrolatum Filler to exclude water and other marine growth.
With the cover removed the petrolatum layer can be cut back to expose the pile surface for inspection.
